Caught

Stranded they had been rummaging through a deep part of the woods at night, the center of which they unwittingly hurried towards. Catching the morpher in the act, they stood bemused and terrified. Seconds in on the stumble he hears them with his renewed ears. The morpher’s eyes suddenly open, glowing bright crimson and glaring unflinchingly at the young hapless couple. He ceased his transformation an anthropomorphic grey owl a little over half their height in his present stand with crouched legs and back bent forward, wings concealing all but his face and talons. Only under the light of the moon the nature of the transformation was unclear, it looked like the shadow of a man was turning into that of a winged beast. They had been standing there like one statue of two lovers clenching each other in frightful anticipation. This went on for about half a dozen seconds, their fear climaxing with screams soon after he opened his eyes. Their bodies turned erratically whilst their heads kept on facing the same direction, for one last brief leery surveying of the creature. The last thing they saw the monster do was seemingly disappear into the darkness, although they did hear him noisily traverse the woodland. The sound was then flooded with that of their own, crossing the forestry by running maniacally through it.

Absentmindly adding more wood to the small campfire as he saw it was going out, as he thought to himself why was out in the wilderness again. As he was comptempling about calling it a night he heard what sounded like something was in a hurry. Knowing the sound was heading in his direction, he went of into his tent and grabbed the first gun that he saw. Coming back out his tent he aim his .45 at that sound of noise. Waiting, watching, hoping he didn't run I to something he couldn't handle.

The terror striken couple ran out of the shadows and into the firelit camp site. They froze at gun-point, surprised to stare frozen a more human horror albeit feared all the same. The jittery man, 6 feet tall with a handdsome chiseled square jaw, struggled to explain the oncoming danger “Ther.zz, a monst, erat the..” He breathed and gained the composure he could muster and boldly continued “Behind US, coming for YOU too!”. His girlfriend matching him in beauty and half a foot away in height, stares catatonically at the gun with her hands up as if to stop the oncoming bullets. Theres a ruffle behind them, the darkness that the two emerged from had something alive and peering but not for long. Bridd saw the gun, his glowing red eyes were visible for an instant before disappearing.

Ignoring the couple he had at gun point and continue to staring into the darken bush, was positive he knew what was going on having been in a similar position once himself. Youkai just sighed to himself before putting his gun into a hoster he had in his other hand. Sitting back onto he log and staring back atthe fire for a few seconds.

" Have a seat." not even bothering to see if they would comply at all. While keeping a trained eye out into the darkness as if waiting to something to happen and making sure he wasn't obvious about it.

“Have a seat!” the young man said starting with an irritated voice and gradually inflecting his voice to a whispered scream, looking briefly behind himself. The woman had relaxed somewhat now seeing the threats were back to one, but she was on high alert edging her friend toward the fire lest the beast come to snatch one of them up.

Meanwhile Bridd kept his ears open, listening while his wishes to remain safe and to kill the two conflicted... he awaited his opportunity, the weapon wielding man was not non-chalant as he pretended and Bridd saw it clearly.

The man conceded to the incessant nudging of his girlfriend, and approached the fireplace. They took a seat his head gyrated all around as she spoke with raised eyebrows afraid and almost pleading “I know we seem paranoid but we need to get out of here, or at least stare with a sharp eye and a ready gun till sunrise.”

Youkai looked up at the female almost lazy like fashion for a few seconds, the to the male. Before shaking his head a little. Seeing the fire dim bait he threw so more wood into the fire. Narrowing his eyes slightly almost unnoticeable causing he fire to grew abit more intensed knowing the couple would be to procupied with their surrounding to noticed.

"There is no point in trying...(yawn)...as the nearest exit is about two miles. Also it beening so dark out you will just get lost." sounding almost bored with the situation. Though there was an almost noticeable smirk on his face if one looked close enough

The couple consoled each other through a lovingly assuring glare at each othe whilst holding both sets of hands together. Then came the voice of the man “We'll get through this Lara, dont be scared” . And she replied with a smirk “I'll try but how could I not be worried about you, I mean look at how jumpy you are” He smilled widely and kissed the air between their lips and she returned it. They turned their faces to turn to the other man attending to his fire and while trying to seem sane and presentable he fought the urge to let his eyes wander off, he looked straight at him held out his hand and introduced himself “I'm Cyde and as you now know this is Lara, what's your name... and uh do you belie... Um what do we call you?”

Youkai didn't even bother to look at the couple instead he looked into the surrounding forest with a disinterest.

"....Don't have a name. Call me whatever you want." he replied after yawning once more. Not caring at all weither they make it through the night or not. He would be lying if he wasn't interest. Wanting to make things interest for a little while he point his right index finger at the fire making sure that his hand still looked like it was resting on the ground. Slowly at first the dimmed but shrinking to a small bearly six inches of fire.

"I will be back, need to get more fire wood." He stated getting up and moving to the trees.

Bridd still a mixture of grey owl and human, he stood perched on a branch looking at the one who hasn't seen, one who is dangerous as he could tell but not a necessary kill. How to get him to look into his red eye, no he may be shot in an instant. Was a curse the answer, no it may backfire... the two mice near the fire!, there was a gleam in his crimson eyes as they relaxed and narrowed as he looked ahead to the camp site. If he could smile, he would at this moment. He completed his transformation to a grey owl 80cm in length, it's size being an illusion as it is actually a fairly small bird surrounded in many many feathers.

He flew around the man seemingly searching for wood to enter the camp site. The two remained as they were sitting but they chattered nervously but grounded now. Bridd closed in and made a noise intentionally trying to attract one of the two then after an already prepared mimicked voice of the man that was off he said (Hey come over here, I think I found what you're afraid of. It's just a grey owl, though the red eyes are odd!” Bridd listened for someone approaching for a second before continuing “If you look it strainght in the eyes it stops moving, It got away from me hurry and stare it down so I can catch it from behind!” Lara shot up almost breaking into a laughter, she chuckled as she approached the owl she now noticed in the shadows. Cyde hesitated before getting up himself and following about 4 feet behind her” Bridd opened his eyes wide now and they gave off their peculiar red glow. Lara stared intently at them and shortly noticed herself being consumed by a darkness and forgetting about her body as it stood there. Bridd approached her and shedding his exess feathers in an instant(leaving his wing feathers in tact) he ran up to the susceptible Lara and with a couple of flaps of his massive wings he flung his little body at her exposed cleavage and clung onto her flesh with new claws that appeared just as his remaining feathers fell off. He began dissolving into her body. Cyde noticed the animal moved toward her and the feathers layed on the floor before her. He hurried to her aid.
